Before I became a broker, I worked as a bank credit assessor and lending manager. I saw how differently lenders could treat the same set of numbers, and how hard that was to see from the customer's side.

Why I do this
Most people are expected to make big lending decisions using language they do not use every day.
Borrowing capacity, offsets, lender policy, pre-approval, LMI and cash to complete can all matter. But the hard part is usually working out which one is actually the problem.
That is why I slow the process down enough to explain it properly. You should understand what the bank is checking, where the weak spots are and what happens next.
